Mayibuye is staffed by passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals, who want to use their time and skills to help others. Mayibuye positions are all volunteer and require a commitment of between 5 - 20 hours a week. Training and mentoring will be provided as you grow into your role.

General Manager
The operations manager is responsible for a team managing finance, events, communications, grants and human resources. Oversee team management, project funding and compliance. Ensure regulations are met, branding is consistent and communication methods are efficient. They also build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
HR Coordinator
Advertise and recruit for new volunteers, provide induction and training for them whilst also maintaining a supportive and productive work environment.
Designers
Use your creative skills to produce bright, engaging and brand consistant posters, banners, flyers, reports etc...
Finance Coordinator
Assist with day-to-day payments, invoicing and banking. Develop budgets and financial reports.
Evaluations Coordinator
You will be responsibille for rolling out our evaluation model, to our projects in Australia, South Africa and Cambodia. Liaise with our faciliatators to ensure surveys etc.. are distributed to all participants. Following this, you will collect and compile information and develop a comprehensive evaluation report.
Communications Manager
Oversee the Branding and Marketing of the organisation, implement a strategy that best promotes ad builds awareness of the organisation. The manager is also responsible for design, online communications and public relations.
Legal Coordinator
Ensure the organisation and management understand and are following correct legal procedures and are meeting regulations. Work to gain further accreditation and status as Mayibuye’s grows into different geographical regions. Support volunteers to understand their roles, responsibilities and rights.
Want to work directly at our projects?
We are currently recruiting for new dance facilitators and life skills facilitators to work at our afterschool programs during 2013. We will be selecting 22 young people to join our fellowship, you will gain both professional development training and practical experience. Fellows participate in a 3 day training camp in March and 3x 1 day workshops throughout the year. Fellows are also mentored by experienced managers in Mayibuye.
We are looking for young people to volunteer in one of the following locations. 3 hours per week.
